Love & Logic Parenting Class

Love and Logic Parenting Classes

Teen Health Connection is excited to offer Love and Logic, a parenting program designed to give participants practical skills that can be used immediately with adolescents ages 11-18.

The Love and Logic Classes are offered one evening a week for four consecutive weeks.  The classes are free to attend and each family will receive a copy of the book "Parenting Teens with Love and Logic." Becoming a Love and Logic parent will help parents feel more confident as a parent, have more fun parenting and feel more relaxed.

If you are affiliated with an organization, faith based community or school that is interested in offering our free workshops please send us your information so that we can schedule a 4-week workshop for your group.

Love and Logic Certified Instructors

Melissa Guarnaccia, LCSWGuarnaccia Melissa 10-08

Melissa Guarnaccia loves adolescents. While a counselor at Teen Health Connection, Melissa was initially drawn to the Love and Logic philosophy when she read the book. After attending a seminar, she decided to become a certified Love and Logic instructor. Melissa enjoys teaching this course to parents because there are no theories; just simple, practical skills for parents to try at home.  The lessons the participants learn each week are something they can practice at home with their families, come back to class the following week and share their experiences. Melissa's favorite strategy is from one of the very first lessons she teaches; neutralizing arguments. "Once you engage in a power struggle with a teen, it is over before you start", said Melissa. Melissa Guarnaccia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and
Psychotherapist in private practice.
