GEMS
Teen Health Connection is proud to offer our Girls Educated and Motivated for Success (GEMS) Mentoring Program. The GEMS Mentoring Program is an ongoing community and school based group of girls ages 13 to 17. The GEMS program is led by Teen Health Connection Health Educator, Delilah McDonald. The GEMS work with community volunteers to tackle important health issues for young women. The GEMS participate in health education discussions and projects, self-esteem building activities and various community service projects.
Currently there are three community groups that meet in the evenings. The program is free for all participants thanks to donations from the United Way and Women's Impact Fund.
