Teen Health Connection is proud to offer our Girls Educated and Motivated for Success (GEMS) Mentoring Program. The GEMS Mentoring Program is an ongoing community group of girls ages 13 to 17. The GEMS work with community volunteers to tackle important health issues for young women. The GEMS participate in health education discussions and projects, self-esteem building activities and various community service projects.
The GEMS meet weekly in the evenings. The program is free for all participants to attend because of generous support from the United Way of Central Carolinas.
