Charlotte, Get Your Move On!

Charlotte, Get Your Move On! is a dynamic health education and community outreach initiative that is solely written and preformed by and for adolescent youth. Based on data from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Youth Risk Behavior Survey, this youth initiative addresses the current trends and health related issues facing teenagers today, with a focus on positive behavioral and health choices. Charlotte, Get Your Move On! is spearheaded by Teen Health Connection in collaboration with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools - Northwest School of the Arts, Carolinas HealthCare System - Levine Children's Hospital, Mecklenburg Medical Alliance and Endowment, MeckLINK Behavioral Healthcare, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools' Parent University, the Junior League of Charlotte Inc., the United Way of Central Carolinas and many in-kind donors and community volunteers.
This year Teen Health Connection again partnered exclusively with Northwest School of the Arts and presented "The Big Picture" - a contemporary, hard-hitting, health-focused play written and performed by teens for teens.
