The Teen Advisory Board is a group of adolescent volunteers who are the youth voice for Teen Health Connection. The Teen Advisory Board is responsible for participating in community outreach, informing Teen Health Connection decisions and leading public service projects. The Teen Advisory Board provides members an opportunity to become leaders in the community, to advocate for adolescent health issues, to participate in a professional environment, to collaborate on group projects and to practice skills such as public speaking.
We are now accepting applications for the 2014-2015 Teen Advisory Board
All adolescents between the ages of 11 and 22 are encouraged to submit an application. You can review the Teen Advisory Board Guidelines for the 2014-2015 year here. To apply to serve on the Teen Advisory Board an applicant must submit the following by April 18, 2014:
2. A signed copy of the Teen Advisory Board Commitment Contract. This must be signed by the applicant and parent/guardian of the applicant.
3. Two recommendation letters from adults who are non-family members. The letters can be submitted with the application as long as they are in sealed envelopes. There is no standard form for the recommendation letters.
Applications are due by 4:00pm on Friday, April 18, 2014. Teen Health Connection will not accept late applications.
