EDUCATION PROGRAMS FOR PROFESSIONALS

Adolescent Health Network

The Adolescent Health Network is a bi-monthly workshop for community professionals that work with youth. Speakers include Teen Health Connection staff and experts from the community presenting the latest data and best practices related to key adolescent health issues.

The presentations run from 7:45 to 10:00 a.m. and are held at the Mecklenburg County Health Department at 249 Billingsley Road in the multipurpose room. The workshops are offered in collaboration with Charlotte Area Health Education Center at a cost of $25 each and Continuing Education Credits are also available.

Adolescent Health Network workshops are held at the Mecklenburg County Health Department located at 249 Billingsley Road in the multipurpose room from 7:45 AM to 10AM.  Teen Health Connection offers the workshops in collaboration with Charlotte AHEC. In-service Education

The Teen Health Connection staff has expertise in a wide range of teen issues, including such topics as adolescent development, health and learning, communicating with teens and risk behaviors, to name a few. The staff is available to present in-service education programs for professionals that provide services to youth.
